Hysteroscopy with Implantation Cuts
It is well documented in the literature that controlled ‘injury’ to the endometrium is beneficial in terms of improving implantation rates. During the hysteroscopy, an overall assessment of the uterine cavity is performed and at the same time small incisions are made at the fundus of the uterus (where implantation normally occurs). The overall effect of this “endometrial trauma” is a significant improvement in implantation rates while spontaneous pregnancies are often observed immediately after such a hysteroscopy.
