I graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2002.
Subsequently I completed my compulsory rural medical service (Islands of Paros/Syros) and my military service in Alexandroupolis as a military doctor. In 2006 I moved to the UK for my specialization, where I worked in some of the largest NHS hospitals in the UK. Indicatively I mention Kings College Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, St Georges Hospital and St Heliers hospital.
In 2014, after international examinations, I was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of England (MRCOG). This title is widely recognized and is highly regarded.
I have dealt extensively with medical research on stem cells / umbilical cord blood as well as the effect of obesity on reproduction. In my professional career, I have published a significant number of scientific articles in international medical journals (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ioannis_Douliotis) and have presented my work at global conferences such as the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) The British Fertiltiy Society (BFS).
During the last years of my stay in London, I gained considerable experience in assisted reproduction and fertility preservation in cancer cases as well as in the field of “social” cryopreservation of genetic material (embryos-oocytes- ovarian Tissue).
I have also had extensive training in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery during my years in the UK, working alongside the renowned laparoscopic surgeon James English.
In 2016 I returned to Greece in order to live and work in my place of birth, having gained valuable knowledge and experiences that enables me to deal with the majority of obstetric and gynaecological conditions successfully.
